Power batteries have reached a new stage, and more designs are performed to improve the battery life and make new energy vehicle safer. To provide safety for new energy vehicles, design is needed from the inside of the battery. At present, most of the power battery use PACK structure design for electric vehicle. This structure design has the very strong safety guarantee, also provides the better battery module for the automobile battery management system, make precision shunt in the battery management system feedback battery information better. What are the safety features of power battery PACK structure design? Our analysis shows the following:

First, high temperature resistance and the flame retardant material are used in power battery PACK structure design box and each module. Batteries generate a lot of heat during use, which can easily lead to unsafe factors. The PACK structure of power battery is designed to use high-temperature resistant material. When the battery box runs, it will emit a lot of heat. At the same time, it can prevent the abnormal problem of the battery. The design of this kind of high temperature and flame retardant material can protect the equipment very well, such as the precision shunt in the battery management system. As the resistance value of the precision shunt will be changed when the temperature is raised.

Second, automatic fire extinguisher is added to the PACK structure of power battery, and  carried out after detecting the source of fire. The automatic extinguisher in battery box can effectively detect and alarm the early fire of lithium ion battery or super capacitor in the tank of energy storage device. At the same time, the fire can be extinguished automatically and continuously suppressed, and completely eradicating the rekindling of and the fire of battery and capacitor
 
Third, the box designed for the PACK structure of the power battery increases the PUW pressure relief valve to prevent the accumulation of pressure in the chamber. This principle is actually to make use of the order of magnitude difference between the volume size of the gas molecule and the liquid and dust particles to allow the gas molecule to pass through and the liquid and dust can not pass through, thus achieving the purpose of waterproof and breathable, to avoid condensation of water vapor inside the PACK.

The specific energy of the small capacity single cell can reach 150 Wha / kg, and the cycle life of the battery can reach 1200 times at the charge termination voltage of 4.1 V. compared with the battery pack, the more the number of the cells in series, the shorter the cycle life of the battery pack.
