Matters Needing Attention in Measuring Resistors with Ohmic Method

Writer:microhm Page View:Date:2019-01-07
Ohmic resistance measurement is one of the most important methods of resistance measurement. In many cases, we use this method to measure resistance. The accuracy of the obtained data is more reliable than that of other resistance measurement methods. In fact, when we understand the basic principle of the Ohm meter resistance measurement, we can see that this resistance test is based on the use of the current passing through the galvanometer, although it is not directly proportional to the resistance to be tested, but it has a certain proportional relationship to measure the corresponding current. The corresponding resistance can be calculated. This ohmic method is usually used to measure resistance with the following considerations:

电阻测试

First, both hands can not touch the pen at the same time. As the human body is a resistor, and the two-hand contact will lead to the inaccuracy of the measurement data.
Secondly, the pointer of the ohmmeter should near the center of the full scale as far as possible.

Fourth, ensure that the measured resistor should be disconnected from the power supply and other components, otherwise the data will be inaccurate.

Fifth, the red and black pole on the multimeter for resistance measurement, indicating +,-poles. The black pen is connected to the positive electrode of the battery, the red pen to the negative electrode of the battery, the current always flows from the red pen, and flows out from the black pen.

In addition, the greater the pointer deflection angle of the ohmmeter, the smaller the resistance to be measured, so its scale is just opposite to the ammeter scale, that is, the left, big and right small; The scale of ammeter is uniform, while the scale of ohmmeter is uneven, the left is dense and the right is thin, because the current and resistance are not directly proportional or inversely proportional.

Using ohmic method to measure resistance can get accurate resistance value, which is convenient for maintenance personnel to accurately measure resistance in daily electronic equipment. Many electronic engineers also measure resistance by ohmic method when checking circuits.
