What are the Problems with Copier Thermistors?

Writer:Microhm Page View:Date:2018-12-05

Copiers are an office equipment commonly used in our lives. In many cases, copiers have problems. In fact, the thermistors have failed and cannot work properly. How to distinguish whether the copier's thermistor is burnt out, the maintenance personnel need to master some skills to identify the copier's thermistor fault and can repaire quickly. What are the identification methods and solutions for these copiers?

First we have to identify if the copier thermistor is burnt out. At normal temperature, we use a multimeter to measure the resistance of the thermistor. If the resistance is too large or infinite, it is open circuit, and if the resistance is too small or zero, it is short circuit. If the multimeter is placed in ohmic gear, connect the test leads to the two ends of the thermistor and heat the resistor with a lighter. At this time, the resistance value should be continuously changed. If the resistance value is abrupt or not changed, the resistance quality is problematic. So we have to consider replacing the thermistor, but be sure to use the same type of resistor.

Secondly, we need to clean the thermistor to show the dirt; the thermistor should keep its cleanliness and no other impurities when working, when the thermistor is in contact with the surface of the heat roller, it will cause dirt to block. The fixing roller temperature rises and the warm-up time increases. If it is not cleaned in time, the working temperature will increase with the thickening of the dirt. When the temperature of the fixing part exceeds 196C, the temperature will be blown. We need to clean the thermistor regularly, which can prolong the service life of the thermistor.

For the above two points, as long as we do the maintenance work of the copier, we can reduce the malfunction of it, ensure the normal operation of our work, and reduce the economic loss and time payment caused by the inability of the copier to work. .
